		<description>Only apps worth having from that list are: VLC Media Player, Audacity and sometimes Firefox. Nicecast is the shit and well worth the money over Quicktime Broadcaster and I guess Onyx is pretty dope. However if you have never tried Apple Jack I suggest you do.</description>

		<description>Great write up, but you don&#039;t need QT Broadcaster just to record.  QTB is great if you want to transmit a live video feed (hence the name &#039;Broadcaster&#039;) - it&#039;s recording features are just a footnote.  Have you tried recording directly from your iSight in iMovie?  When iMovie is open, switch the little toggle slider from editing (scissors) to import.  It will record directly from your iSight or attached FW camera, and will even do time-lapse.  Then you&#039;ve got your clips within iMovie for titling, editing, and compression.</description>
