I spent the fall of 2005 traveling and studying in Europe; some of it I found exciting, and some of it I will be only too eager to forget. Before I settled into my exchange program at the University of Sussex, I spent just over two weeks wandering aimlessly around London, Paris, Venice, Florence, Prague, Tel Aviv, and Haifa with my friend Jeff Y. from Oxy and Jacob Brown from UW.
I spent a good portion of my trip audioblogging (and occasionally attempting to videoblog) the sights and experiences I had in those foreign parts. Unfortunately my camera battery charger got, er, “lost” on the way into Israel, so I have precisely no record of one of the most beautiful countries I’ve ever been to.
Regardless, below you can find the links to everything I found the time to record and upload.
Audioblogs
- The Louvre - listen as I wax poetic about art for a minute.
- Subway Music - I managed to record a bit of some subway performers in Paris — very cool!
Videoblogs
- The Eiffel Tower - Jeff and I halfway up the Eiffel Tower, I guess.
- Versailles - As we approach the gigantic chateau.
- The Medicis - Big in Florence, they used to live here.
- Venice Piazza - A quick look at venice with a side of music.
- Venice Walker - Little walking tour. A good watch.
- Barcelona Dance - A creepy skeleton dance thing.
